Manufacturing Engineer

As a Manufacturing Engineer supporting the Engineering Team, you will be trusted to work at the Batam Plant. This position is responsible for the improvement of manufacturing efficiency, safety on work environment, product quality, non-conformance investigation, and CAPA. In this role, a typical day will include:Identify improvement projects related to productivity and material efficiency to meet business objectives by utilizing the Lean Six Sigma conceptOptimize manufacturing process, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are metUnderstand the failure/non-conformance investigation requirements based on International Standards, GMP/QSR US FDA, and ISO StandardsResponsible for diagnosing problems, performing investigations and developing CAPA on related production issuesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and streamline processes to improve production productivity, quality, cost, and safetyImplement Quality Control measures within Manufacturing ProcessesResponsible and accountable to ensure full complianceHSE implementation and performance in the Production Department. Provide support in area process responsibility for other HSE activities that are assigned by ManagementWHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON: Degree in Industrial /Mechanical Engineering or a similar field1 year of experience in the Manufacturing Industry with an understanding of the manufacturing processProficient in communicating in English both verbally and writtenStrong in analytical thinking, data analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving skillsExperience in working/certified in either Green Belt or Black Belt projects will be an advantageHands-on experience with MS Office and MS Excel, thorough knowledge of various kinds of office softwareEffective communication with coworkers across departments, attention to detail, ability to multitask and mentoring.
