Job Details Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee the Production and Subsea machining departments to ensure smooth running of daily operations. Oversee the manufacturing activities as the acting night shift supervisor, when rostered for night shift. Monitor progress of projects, identify and address any problem areas, liaise with charge hands to allow timely completion of projects. Execute project planning for the connector cell and new subsea machining components. Create machine shop route sheets and bill of materials. Create machinist check sheets for every different OSI connectors and review them weekly to ensure compliance with procedures. Create machinist quality and production records to monitor performance. View and verify machine set-up and job running, and advice on improvements. Monitor and maintain stock levels of all tooling and inserts and ensure orders are placed timely. Design jigs and fixtures for twin pallet machining centre and horizontal borers. Troubleshoot mechanical faults and perform basic repairs on machines for machining Merlin connectors. Apply knowledge of connector programming for all OSI products, new machine tooling tests/setups and be familiar with all the different connectors manufactured by the Company. Generate all Subsea machining programs when required, including VTL and borer machines. Perform Subsea repair machining and programming along with supplied route sheets, drawings and procedures. Develop and modify machining programs for turning and milling, using Mastercam software. Execute work on very short lead times and react to customers’ needs whenever required. Relief duties of QC Inspector (CMM Operator), when required. Based on mutual agreement, carry out responsibilities of a Site Incident Controller (“SIC”) Accept and perform any additional work related instructions/activities willingly and to the best of his ability, as determined by the department Supervisor/Manager. Ensure the machine shop housekeeping is to a high standard and to hold the operators accountable for their areas. Engage the department in all EHS matters and ensure they produce at least one stop card per week. Qualification Requirements Formal Education & Certification 1 Degree/Diploma in Engineering or equivalent discipline. Knowledge & Experience 1 Must have minimum 5 years of experience on machines. 2 Ability to read and interpret all Engineering drawings. 3 Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. 4 Must be proficient in either Mastercam, or Edgecam programming software. 5 Must be proficient in the use of Glovia system. Personal Attributes 1 Possess excellent organizational skills, and be prepared to work as part of a team. 2 Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills 3 Able to adapt to changes and work under constant pressure and with tight timelines. Others 1 Complete Mitutoyo CMM program training. 2 Undergo any additional personal training as and when required.
