Job Details Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities Execute welding, grinding, flame cutting, material handling and other relevant fabrication activities in line with Engineering drawings, welding procedure specifications and manufacturing orders/shop routers according to customer and internal requirements. Read and understand the welding procedures, Engineering drawings, weld symbols and shop routers. Perform welding processes with appropriate consumables using manual, semi-automatic and automatic welding equipment/procedures according to the documents for the assigned job. Read and understand the information on route sheets, which includes the specification and standards. Sign off router sheets after job completion at each individual stage. Set up, coordinate and maintain welding equipment and other related fabrication equipment in the work shop. Apply knowledge on the basics of brush/ roller painting, including the thinning of the paint, the techniques for painting, storage requirements, maintenance of brushes and the overall safety. Understand the usage of pipe drifts, O/D gauges, and the stenciling machine for templates and marking. Carry out grease application properly and ensure safe handling and proper storage. Apply knowledge on the basics of fitting such as to fit connector protectors and lock rings, and to be familiar with the tools and equipment required for the job. Maintain a high standard of housekeeping at all times within designated area. Ensure personal safety at all times, and the safety of all others. Accept and carry out any additional work related instructions/activities, to the best of his ability, as determined by the department supervisor/manager. Comply with OSI Quality Management System, OSI HE&E policy and requirements. Qualification Requirements Knowledge & Experience 1 Basic knowledge of fitting would be advantageous, but not compulsory as full training will be provided 2 Familiar with GMAW, SMAW, FCAW, GTAW and SAW on Carbon Steel and alloy Inconel/or Stainless Steel. 3 Experience in X-ray quality welding. Personal Attributes 1 Pro-active and able to perform shift rotation. 2 Strong interpersonal skills, able to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team. 3 Ability to read and speak Basic English will be advantage. Others 1 Undergo overhead crane training, to assist in moving & handling. 2 Undergo training to operate external and internal grinding machines.
