The full Pay Range is $94,500-$176,500 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Additional details regarding BECU Benefits can be found here.IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:As a Sr Software Developer Engineer in Test (SDET) at BECU, you’ll play a vital role in making a significant, positive change in BECU’s journey, where your contributions are valued, and your growth is continually fostered. This role focuses on designing and implementing test cases and specifications, ensuring software built at BECU is testable, and contributing to system and service design and architecture.To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, or SC. We offer the flexibility of remote work for residents in these locations, allowing you to contribute from the comfort of your own home.WHAT YOU’LL DO:Assess Design and Structure: Analyze the design and structure of services and applications, identify areas of improvement in existing code, and perform root cause analysis of errors.Analyze and Improve Testing:Identify test gaps, make systemic improvements to automation testing, and ensure automated tests are integrated with software builds.Communicate Technical Topics: Regularly present and communicate technical topics to the engineering community at cross-functional team meetings.Review and Approve Code: Review and approve code and tests written by other SDETs for style, consistency, and adherence to BECU standards.Develop Testing Roadmap: Work with developers, architects, and product owners to design and document the team’s testing roadmap and vision.Lead and Mentor: Effectively lead and leverage small testing teams, mentor junior developers/SDETs, and ensure accurate results while supporting bug triage processes.Perform Additional Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned.WHAT YOU’LL GAIN:The opportunity to be part of a collaborative and innovative team where your ideas and contributions fuel the growth and success of BECU.A chance to elevate your career, skills, and future, all while contributing to the robust technological landscape of BECU.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.Minimum five years of experience designing test plans, cases and writing automated tests in a team environment.Minimum five years of hands-on experience with programming and scripting languages such as C#, Python or JavaScript/Typescript and software development/QA in a Windows environment.Minimum four years of experience with continuous integration systems and test case management tools.Desired Qualifications:Experience testing applications and services with security automation frameworks.Demonstrated experience developing and designing testing and automation frameworks supporting multiple application platforms.Demonstrated experience in unit testing, integration testing and performance testing.Experience using git, including performing code reviews, pull requests, and following branching standards such as Git Flow or Trunk-Based Development.JOIN THE JOURNEYReady to make an indelible impact?
