Job Details Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities Quality Control Perform inspections such as fit-up, welding, visual, dimensional, material, magnetic particle testing, dye penetrant testing, hardness testing and etc. Prepare/review all inspection & NDT, PWHT, painting reports and final data book.Prepare requests and coordinate with vendors for radiographic tests, load test etc.Update daily records (welder performance, daily update, etc.). Perform Master Control update. Monitor PWHT, pressure test, blasting and painting. Complete the pressure test chart. Ensure in-process, final, welding Inspections and heat treatments are carried out per manufacturing route sheet. Ensure all measuring, monitoring and testing equipment are duly calibrated before use.Perform daily verification of QC instrument and ensure records are maintained. Understand critical requirements of the equipment and provide sound judgment for repair/replacement of defective area of the proposed refurbishment equipment. Interpret and understand Oil States standards, work procedures, quality plans, ITP, relevant to the job scope including API 6A, API 16A, API 16C, API 16F, etc. requirements. Monitor and train QC Inspectors on the job, where necessary. Understand and follow Company’s QMS and HSE Policy and Objectives. Advance Non-Destructive Testing Prepare PAUT/UT reports. Print and submit the reports to QC Engineer for review prior to Master Control upload for final approval. If necessary, seek and obtain 3rd party approval.Perform PAUT and UT in compliance with Oil States procedure and technique sheet and/or customer specifications. Perform daily verification of UT/PAUT equipment and accessories as per Oil States working procedures and maintain the records. Prepare scan plan and technique sheet using ES beam software tool. Interpret images using Tomo-view software and evaluate them in accordance to the international standards as requested. Update welder performance record and route sheet stamping. Issue NCR when non-conformance is identified during inspection/testing. Maintain and duly calibrate PAUT equipment and applicable accessories. Update in-process result on the job. Communicate any failure results to Workshop Supervisor, Welding Engineer and QC Engineers through email. Train NDT inspector(s) to perform PAUT/UT, as required. Coordinate with Customer/3rd party Inspector(s) for the in-process inspection. Accept and perform any additional work related instructions/activities, to the best of his ability, as determine by the department supervisor/manager. Qualification Requirements Formal Education & Certification Degree/Diploma in Engineering/Science or equivalent qualification. Knowledge & Experience NDT Level II in UT and PAUT/TOFD as per SNT-TC-1A or PCN or CSWIP. Minimum 3 years of experience in Ultrasonic Testing. NDT Level II in MPI, DPI as per SNT-TC-1A or PCN is preferred. Certified welding inspector from CSWIP 3.1 is preferred Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft (Excel, Word). Attained or currently pursuing ASNT Level III Certification in UT. Ability to read and understanding drawings/router/relevant work instructions, QA Procedures to perform inspections. Personal Attributes Good communication and interpersonal skills. Meticulous with an eye for details and ability to adapt to changes. Ability to work under pressure and be a good team player as part of the team. Pro-active individual who seeks to identify technique(s) to improve the current method.
