Job Description Outlet Barista (Sapori Deli) As a Barista of Sapori Deli, aside from crafting exceptional coffee beverages, you will also provide excellent customer service in a five- star deli and restaurant environment. You will work closely with the kitchen and service staff to ensure efficient operations and maintain high-quality standards. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee, attentive to detail, and thrives in a dynamic team environment. Employment will be under local contract. What you will be doing: Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards. Operate coffee-making equipment such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers with precision and care. Ensure consistent quality by accurately measuring ingredients, monitoring brewing parameters, and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and work area. Provide friendly and efficient customer service, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items. Maintain a clean and organized coffee station, including restocking supplies and managing inventory. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate orders and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages. Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently, following established procedures. Uphold food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of food and adherence to health code regulations. Assist in training new team members on coffee preparation techniques, menu items, and customer service standards. Qualifications Your experience and skills include: Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role preferred. Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, equipment, and specialty coffee drinks. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and interact positively with customers and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness. Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions. Food handler's card or willingness to obtain one. Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team.
