Job Description We have been retained by one of our clients,  a global mining and metallurgical group, to recruit a Human Resources Manager Indonesia, based in Jakarta. The HR Manager reports to both the Country Representative, and the HRBP Asia / Americas / Europe and defines the HR objectives and policies in his/her scope, in line with the Group’s HR strategy. Purpose of the position Manage HR processes in order to address operational and managerial challenges in the short, medium and long term. Develop, enhance and sustain the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. Take responsibility for the development of existing activities and new projects in Indonesia regarding HR. Manage functions such as sourcing and selection of personnel, training and development, compensation and benefits and labor and union relations, promoting and accompanying the organization to help achieve its targets of business profitability, embedded health and safety culture and sustainable development, based on the ethical values in which the Organization is framed.   Scope of the position (key dimensions) The HR Manager has a fundamental role in applying and promoting the organizational culture, establishing permanent networks for development, participating in the processes of continuous improvement. His/her decisions will be sustainable and he/she will communicate efficiently ideas and information. He/she has a negotiating attitude towards personnel and institutions inside and outside the organization, with a significant competence in conflict management. The HR management is accountable for implementing, developing and managing the HR Team (4 direct reports).   Significant responsibilities and activities Business Partnering Contributes to the definition of the business strategy Translates the business strategy into the HR strategy in his/her scope taking into account internal and external developments: Strategic Workforce Planning, organizations design, skills and talents management, change management Supports and advises the management team on all the aforementioned subjects Supports the implementation of the Sonic Bay project, and other Indonesia related project and the teams to meet the project objectives Manages the HR budget Supports the development of IRMA for his/her scope of work, in coordination with WBN/IWIP and other partners Coordinating the HR policy Builds the HR organisation, policies and processes of the company with the assistance of the Group and Project partners Ensures that his/her HR policy is consistent with the Group’s HR strategy and is implemented by the teams in his/her scope Coordinates the roll-out of the HR cycle (Annual Performance Review, Mid-year Interview, Salary Policy, Personnel Review) with particular focus on reviews and consolidations in his/her scope in order to ensure the implementation of action plans (key succession plans, critical skills, developing talent, assessing performance) Ensures the correct application of employment law and agreements in the scope Ensures productive social dialogue, manages central representative bodies, and represents the company in dealings with the authorities and socio-professional organizations Ensures that HR reports and indicators are maintained in his/her scope Team management Coordinates, manages, and develops the HR team (4 direct reports) Elements of complexity Evolving scope according to realization of projects - high degree of agility and adaptability; Interactions with the teams of the mining site, a company operated as a JV (with The Company as a minority shareholder) and with the Partner Indonesia teams; High degree of autonomy in work, ability to work under pressure with fast-pace Important financial and legal issues for the Group (importance of the site operations in the Group's cash generation, and the scope of a very large new manufacturing project). Profile and Experience Higher education (Master) in Human Resources; Minimum 12 years experience in Human Resources in industrial environment, experience in mining would be a plus; Knowledge of current Indonesian labor legislation, labor regimes and human resources management systems. Knowledge of Personnel administration and payroll liquidation management as well as office and personnel management systems; Knowledge and management of union relations and interfacing with the Ministry of Labor; Indonesian & English language (oral, reading and writing); International experience or international exposure; Experience in organizational transformation and talent development; Conceptual skills – capacity to work with abstracts concepts and ideas and find applicable and operational solutions; Management skills; Autonomous and proactive; Results oriented; Good interpersonal skills, sense of diplomacy; Availability to travel on site on a regular basis (about once a month).
