Job Details Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1 Oversee the maintenance of all OSI mechanical, hydronic and electrical machinery, tools and equipment and ensure they are kept in good working condition. 2 Oversee the manufacturing activities as the acting night shift supervisor, when rostered for night shift. 3 Send lifting equipment which is due for certification for load testing. Obtain the lifting equipment list from EHS Engineer. 4 Arrange and document the Company’s preventive maintenance program in completion. 5 Understand and have basic knowledge of the Company’s products and processes 6 Apply Knowledge on the basics in the use of welding machines, machine tools, hydraulic jacks, rollers, manipulators, and other operational equipment, to enable a greater understanding during maintenance/repairs. Able to use the correct maintenance tool(s) for the jobs. 7 Understand and apply basic knowledge of pressure testing equipment so as to allow a greater understanding when breakdown occurs. 8 Familiarise with the legal requirements on cranes and compressors. 9 Ensure all daily, monthly and yearly maintenance checklists are updated accurately. 10 Familiarise with servicing vendors, the machine manuals, and the ordering process for spare parts and components 11 Maintain a proper spare parts register and to ensure the availability of spare parts. 12 Service or breakdown occurrences must be updated in the machine files. 13 Receive and file the request forms for machine breakdowns and ensure the requests are acted upon in a timely manner. 14 Perform “Lock Out Tag Out” (LOTO) procedure, when required, prior to the completion of maintenance. 15 Ensure work is performed in a safe manner for the protection of yourself and others. 16 Maintain a high standard of housekeeping at all times within the department and designated work areas. 17 Based on mutual agreement, carry out responsibilities of a Site Incident Controller (“SIC”) 18 Accept and carry out any additional work related instructions/activities, to the best of his ability, as determined by the department supervisor/manager. 19 Comply with OSI Quality Management System, OSI HS&E policy and requirements. Qualification Requirements Formal Education & Certification Minimum High School certification. Knowledge & Experience Served a recognized apprenticeship or equivalent as a Maintenance Technician. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician. A qualified crane and forklift operator Personal Attributes Possess excellent organizational skills, and be ready to work as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Others Undergo any additional training for new welding equipment. Undergo mechanical and electrical training for any new machines in the production department.
