The Solution Engineer's primary role is to provide the technical design of Schneider Electric data centre solutions. The role is instrumental in providing the technical support to the Schneider Electric sales organization. This individual will be expected to have and maintain a high level of knowledge across the entire Schneider Electric product portfolio. They require strong electrical design knowledge in critical power protection infrastructure. The Solution Engineer will be the technical owner of the data centre design from concept to fulfillment. They will need to understand data centre best practices and integrate ancillary products with Schneider Electric products to provide a comprehensive solution. The Solution Engineer is expected to have strong communication skills and will be expected to deliver technical proposals, presentations and trainings to both external and internal parties. The ability to establish and deliver the customers technical requirements is essential. The Solution Engineer will be required to understand and position the Schneider Electric value proposition for different partners and customer segments. Provide both pre-and post sales support to the country sales (direct & channel) teams focusing on products/solution features and benefits, data center design and configurations Work with sales team on the relationship and technical management of large deals Work with sales team to provide technical assistance to reseller and end-user accounts Identify and steer opportunities and assist the sales team with pre-sales activities including the development of proposals, running technical workshops and conducting demonstrations and presentations Co-ordinate technical sales seminars for business partners, Consulting Engineers and end-users on the benefits and features, key application environments and how to sell, of Schneider product range Serve as the key resource in the set-up, implementation and management of the Demo/Training Room Undertake tasks requiring technical analysis, diagnosis and problem solving, qualifying the product fit and defining support needs Translate solution concept into detailed technical specification using our various Tools Involve in the New Product Development (NPD) Process to ensure meeting of the customers technical needs Design and configure solutions in conjunction with customers and assist sales/partners to formulate the solution offering made up of Power, Cooling, Rack system, Monitoring, management and services for end users Facilitate and monitor activities escalated to Configuration Engineers, Project Managers and other support functions for critical projects implemented through assigned resellers Liaise with third party sub-contractors to obtain quotations and design specifications for products outside of Schneider’s manufactured range to complete a customer solution Use reporting tools (e.g., bFO, Alma sheets, ANC, DesignPortal and all products configuration tools) as the source and archive for all data, actions, commitments, and tracking of business Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Schneider products to fulfil customer needs Qualifications EDUCATION – MINIMUM REQUIRED LEVEL: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED: Minimum 3 years experience in electrical design and critical power applications 4-5 years experience, with at least 3 years in a pre-sales role 3-phase critical Power (UPS back up power) and Cooling systems experience are essential. Data center facilities management experience is an advantage Strong understanding of direct & channel distribution business will be a distinctive advantage Basic understanding of business and financial terms such as Capex, Opex, ROI, ROA, etc Good understanding about the market trends & competition landscape in data center related industries Can be work as a team player KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 1 – REQUIRED: Basic knowledge of electrical power and air conditioning Familiar with UPS application configuration best practices Familiar with Battery calculation principles of UPS application Familiar with Cooling system topology for critical application Good understanding on Tiering level concept in Data center design. Hold a professional certification ie: ATD by Uptime institute or CTDC by TIA would be most advantage Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills Good capability to conduct presentations for different audiences Excellent relationship management skills Good time management, organizational skills Excellent technical report writing skills KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 2 – REQUIRED: Proficiency in MS office (mainly excel spreadsheet) Auto CAD drawing Schedule: Full-time Req: C6N
