As a Commis II, the primary role is to assist the senior chefs and contribute to the smooth operation of the banquet kitchen. The Commis II is responsible for tasks such as food preparation, ingredient portioning, mise en place, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the workstation. They work under the guidance of the leaders, learning and developing their culinary skills while delivering high-quality dishes that meet the hotel's standards. The position requires attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced banquet environment.QualificationsCandidates for this position should possess a culinary degree or diploma and have a strong foundation in culinary knowledge and techniques. It is essential that candidates have proficiency in all necessary culinary skills, including knife skills, food preparation, and fundamental cooking techniques. Those with experience in luxury hotels or restaurants, specifically in banquet or large-scale catering settings, are preferred. Additionally, candidates must have a comprehensive understanding of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and HACCP principles.
