Functions:You will be part of a team that assesses the feasibility of deploying new and emerging energy technologies in Singapore, with the objective of exploring possible options to support Singapore’s transition towards a clean energy future.You will need to undertake technical assessments to ascertain the technical viability of these technologies in Singapore. In fulfilling your responsibilities, significant amount of coordination with consultants, academia, government agencies and technology vendors would be required.[Note: You will be assigned a class of technology to focus on. This will be communicated to you upon shortlist.]Responsibilities:- Assess feasibility of deploying new and emerging energy technologies in Singapore- Build technical understanding and conduct technical assessments on new and emerging energy technologies via expert consultations, research platforms, consultancy services and information from technology vendors.- Assess the technical feasibility, risks, and benefits of implementing these technologies in Singapore.- Project manage technical studies and develop solutions to overcome deployment challenges for new and emerging technologies in Singapore- Engage consultants, Government agencies and the academia to ascertain deployment requirements and challenges. The scope entails:- Identifying infrastructure requirements.- Conducting preliminary site surveys and investigations, delineating the site characteristics and evaluating the suitability of the sites for deployment.​​- Identifying technical constraints and challenges associated with deploying these technologies in Singapore.​- Work with local and international partners to develop innovative solutions to adapt energy technologies for deployment in urban environments. Examples include developing solutions to reduce land footprints, facilitate underground siting, enable safety and security enhancements, etc.​
