JOB TITLE: Principal Advisor - Environment KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide assurance of the project overall environmental compliance and sustainability implementation related to GHG emissions, waste/circularity, water and biodiversity, including the implementation of environmental monitoring requirements.Liaise closely with COMPANY on all environmental related matters.Provide environmental and sustainability advice in implementation of environmental management requirements.Perform environmental self-verification and oversight, development of environmental reports.Communication of the environmental requirements and sustainability commitments to internal and relevant external stakeholders.Identify all relevant Project permitting requirements.Assist the Regulatory Compliance Coordinator with obtaining environmental permits, populating the Permits Schedule, and implementing relevant Project conditions in a timely manner.Populate and maintain the Permits Schedule and associated Regulatory Compliance Register.Investigate any requested deviations and non-conformances from permit conditions and ensure close-out in collaboration with applicable stakeholders.Assist the In-Country Permit Coordinator in investigating requested deviations and non-conformances from environmental permit conditions and ensuring close-out in collaboration with applicable stakeholders.Develop project environmental deliverables including EMS documentation in accordance with client specifications and ISO standard.Conduct training/awareness sessions on relevant Environment related procedures and standards.Participate in investigation of environment related incidents and identify immediate and root causes.Participate fully and openly in both internal and external audits/Risks & Opportunities assessment such as HAZCON, SIMOPs workshops.Monitor, verify, and analyse monthly environmental data for its accuracy and correctness in order to meet Company Environmental targets (specifically GHG emissions). This includes verifying the source data from other interested parties such as subcontractor, vendor etc. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or environmental science or a related environmental field from a reputable university.NEBOSH IGC or NEBOSH Certificate for Environmental Management and National Competency Certification.ISO 14001 Internal or Lead Auditor.Spill Response Training.At least 10 years of experience in Environmental Lead, Engineer or Advisor role in projects / operations / production in the oil & gas or petrochemical industries.Minimum 5 years’ extensive field experience in Environmental Lead, Engineer or Supervisor Role in Oil and Gas, Construction, Commissioning and/or Mining. Previous experience in conducting and leading internal environmental audit, and development and implementation of Environmental Management Plan.Have strong understanding of the Environmental issues, practices in the Oil & Gas operations/EPC business.Sound understanding of the HSE Management System and Environmental legislative requirements.Knowledge in interpretation of lab reports.Exposure to ambient air quality monitoring.Knowledge / skills in establishing & operating waste treatment equipment & waste management techniques.Training / exposure in translocation of animals/plants.Hands on experience in soil erosion control measures (desirable). #LI-BS1 Additional Information
