Responsible for supervisory and administrative work of a technical aspects in terms of combustion area (Process Pot, Furnaces, Ovens, etc) towards overall supervision of the maintenance, repair and reconditioning of all types of equipment; the direction, deployment and supervision of the activities of Combustion Engineer and technician (internal & 3rd party contractors)Role ObjectivesSupervise all combustion related works as assigned.Directs, deploys, and supervises the activities of all engineers and techniciansChecks and qualifies internal or external work/services or materials as requiredReading and interpreting design schematics to ensure the proper installation of combustion related systems including devises and carries out precautions against potential hazardsProvide technical expertise for troubleshooting minor/major combustion system failures and equipment malfunctionsMaintains inventories of spares, tools, consumables, and other suppliesInspects and reports on the condition, completeness or suitability of combustion related equipment purchases or about to be purchased for the use of the department and makes recommendations where requiredGives technical advice as required or makes reports on technical subjects on all matters pertaining to production equipment and related facilities.Overseeing the purchasing and maintenance of the combustion equipment on-siteMaintaining a safe and clean work areaPerform other duties as assignRole DeliverablesZero Safety Incident100% achieve Safety Leading IndicatorSupport Manufacturing Division KPI’s to achieve targeted Prime Yield, OEE, Uptime & Yield Loss.Minimize unscheduled downtime and reactive maintenance man hours as targeted100% Achieve in Manufacturing Cost Saving program with on time completionAchieve targeted maintenance cost in full financial yearZero violation of legal compliance, safety compliance, license and permit, and business conduct.Required qualifications and experienceBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalentHaving sound knowledge of metal melting facilities, industrial oven and furnaces and its supporting equipment.Familiarity with standard electrical and safety codes.Advanced troubleshooting skillsSome knowledge of equipment cost accounting methods.Basic computer skillsIn-depth knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems.Observes meters & gauges reviews operating reports to verify control of process.Working knowledge of EAM or CMMSA good eye for detailTrains workers in combustion operation.At NS BlueScope our success comes from our people.
