Airfreight Pricing Manager, Asia

Overall Job PurposeResponsible for overseeing the growth of the Airfreight product in Asia, with a focus on enabling sales growth and commercial solutions to meet both internal and external customer requirements. The role will act as the subject matter expert for Airfreight products and services, taking overall pricing and commercial decisions required to meet the company's objectives. Main Tasks & Key ResponsibilitiesOwnership of tariffs, pricing tools and rate applications utilized in airfreight, to improve standardization and competitiveness.Development of digital product offeringsSupport execution of the commercial strategy across the regionDrive competitive pricing strategies and identify best solutions to maximize profitability for Airfreight products, both regionally and in supporting local countriesCreates and executes sales campaigns as required to help business development.Responsibility for overall regional pricing strategies of any RFQ/Tender requests, along with checking country inputs and consolidating complete and final sign-off for any submissions.Strong interaction with Sales communities (country & regional) to ensure necessary training and or requirements are fulfilled to support business conversion.Regular pipeline reviews with Sales communities to help build mutual strategies to open new opportunities.Ongoing review of customer trading to review low-margin accounts and how to expand trading for current accounts.Take active involvement in bringing Airfreight expertise into Customer discussions.Develop and agree on trade lanes to help maximize existing base loads and increase profitability (focus on what type of cargo is required and support business plans to acquire such)Improved communication on Airfreight Products throughout the organizationTraining and development of internal airfreight stations on commercial strategies required to advance the region.Must be able to travel, be aware of overseas cultures, markets and represent SGL Asia Airfreight products as required.Regularly provide market updates and industry developments to internal and external audiencesImproved speed to market, ease of pricing strategies throughout the regionQualificationsExtensive knowledge of Airfreight forwarding businessAbility to cope with multiple tasks in parallel, particularly RFQs.Previous experience in overseas markets is essential.Strong analytical skills, with excellent capability in Microsoft Excel.Commercial experience and capabilities (comfortable in front of customers).Ability to work under pressure.Strong problem-solving skill set.Pleasant personality and a good team player.Good communication and interpersonal skills (an ability to build business relationships with vendors, customers and co-workers).Able to work independently and the same time, be part of a highly successful team.Entrepreneurial skills.Good reasons to joinYou will join a leading company in the forwarding and logistics industry with the clear ambition to further strengthen and expand its position in the market.
