Our Raffles Wellbeing Butlers can arrange a variety of bespoke treatments, cultural immersions, and personalized activities, to provide the ultimate experience on the Island of the Gods.Job DescriptionLeads the sustainability efforts of the Hotel with the General Manager and Hotel Manager overseeing the activities and projects.Ensures that the elimination of Single Use Plastic is achieved 100% and sustained, maintained.Conducts audits to ensure compliance at all times with the Raffles Brand Guidelines.Liaises between Corporate Office and the Hotel for matters relating to Sustainability.Coordinates and communicates with other Departments on new directions and initiatives and ensures compliance and adherence to standards.Ensures that the Hotel is compliant with the standards and is certified by an accredited Sustainability certifying body.Reports the Hotel’s sustainability and Environmental performance and data both internally and externally as required, this includes both internal and external stakeholders such as customers, suppliers, and community organizations.Establishes Sustainability partnerships with external organizations, companies, and local government units whenever feasible, by identifying potential partners, initiate contact, explore collaboration opportunities, create a partnership agreement, and continuously monitor and communicate progress towards shared Sustainability goals.Identifies areas of improvement in regard to the organization’s Sustainability practices and improve current practices and develop/ implement new practices :Energy efficiency improvements, green energy sourcingSustainable F&B (food waste management, food sourcing, food trends)Plastic pollution reductionDiversity & InclusionSupport to local communities & charitiesBiodiversity protection Train staff at all levels on environmental issues and good practicesOther InvolvementAdheres to and promotes the Company’s Health & Safety policies to ensure a safe work environment and knowledgeable all safety & emergency proceduresMain Complexity/Critical issues in the JobThe ability to manage projects strategically, while being hands on and detail-oriented, acting as a catalyst for making things happenCapacity to work independently with various stakeholders.Coordinate, communicate and get buy-in from the different stakeholders with various levelsThe ability to influence stakeholdersAct as a role-model and inspire behavioral changeLead and foster excellence and innovation.Passionate and dedicated to sustainability and environmental initiatives.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Environment, Sustainability or related areas.Strong user knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office tools.Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Hospitality or Sustainability Position.Proficient in English language (verbal & written).Strong interest for luxury hospitality.Passing on your passion to customers.Solid general knowledge in luxury.Attention to details.
