Head of Construction - Batam Ref: Job Type Contract Location batam Salary N/A Contact Radhish Kumar Nagarajan Head of Construction - Batam Job Purpose Reporting to the NFXP Offshore Topsides Package Manager, theHead of Construction is responsible for managing the construction activities ofNFXP Offshore Topsides & STP up to sailaway to ensure objectives are safelymet within the approved scope and schedule. He ensures that all his scope of work is completed inaccordance with safety and quality standards applicable.Key Job Accountabilities Focal point at site, for promoting and implementing safetyon construction site.Implement the safety observations reporting andmonitoring.Lead the construction team and keep the team committed totargets defined by the project management Assists the Topsides & STPs Construction &Installation Division in executing Project responsibilities for his scope ofwork.Anticipate, prepare and manage all construction , liftingsand load-out activities of the Project, to ensure the technical objectives aremet within the approved scope, budget and schedule.Ensure coordination for site activities and providetechnical support with contractor , quality, safety, planning and engineering Review, approve and implement Contractor construction plan.Ensure Contractor construction and load out documents andother submittals are timely reviewed and approved in accordance with the EPCcontract requirements.Review and propose mitigation for construction aspects ofthe Risk Management Plan.Monitor the mitigation when defined Review all onshore construction changes, includingjustification for cost and schedule impacts, in accordance with the PMOCprocedure.Attend to meetings as required, mentor the trainees todevelop their project skills and experience while being on site; Maintain aregister of lessons learnedMinimumRequirements: Engineering Degree or significant relevant experience. 15 years of experience in discipline with at least 10 yearsdemonstrated senior construction supervision experience in major capitalprojectsExperience with EPC contractors, sub-contractors and vendorsinvolved in the oil and gas industryDemonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with peoplefrom variety of cultural backgrounds Worldwide experience with contractors in particular thoseinvolved in the construction of Offshore LNG production facilitiesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with afocus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMTApplication and in depth knowledge of stakeholderspecifications and a working knowledge of Industry standardsAny Qualification, Technical, or knowledge requirements canbe waived through relevant work experience.A high level of proficiency in written and spoken EnglishComputer literacy involving the regular use of professionaloffice applications and some technical applications
