SVP - Indonesia Securities Services Operation Head - Hybrid

POSITION OBJECTIVE:This is a management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of Securities Services Operations teams, driving a variety of custody, fund administration & transfer agency activities in accordance with clients and regulatory obligations. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of activities associated with Securities Services in Indonesia.Ensure that all operations activities comply with the guidelines within Bank Indonesia, Central Securities Depository Services (KSEI) and Indonesia tax authority.The individual will be accountable for BAU operations while maintaining a pristine control environment. Requires frequent client, regulatory and internal stakeholder interactions. Significant experience of managing teams, employee engagement, development, diversity will be key to ensure a motivated and engaged workforce. A strong track record in processing re-engineering and automation will be important to help build scalability as well as meet annual productivity commitments.Acquire a good understanding of the industry, competitors and internal product offering is also necessary to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:The role has a broad scope, ranging from BAU delivery, focus on key strategic priorities, regulatory challenges and managing external and internal stakeholders in a complex and evolving business environment.Risk management and implementing appropriate controls commensurate with risk profile of the functions. Manage risk self-assessments and periodic risk reviews.Client onboarding and change management to ensure our processes are aligned with client expectations and system capabilities.Process optimization and technology automation to ensure our processes are scalable and to mitigate risks associated with manual processing.Drive process optimization and support transformation initiatives.Oversee regulatory, audit, and compliance matters and liaise with Citi Country Operations & Technology as required.Serve as an escalation point for Securities Services Operations team and ensure open communications between operational groups.Develop strategies and oversee project plans meeting operational goals.Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, the clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.People management including hiring, development and retention. Ensure employees are engaged through consistent and transparent communication.Work with various Leaders on coaching them on how to maximize their potential, work better in a highly integrated team environment and focus on bringing out their strengths. Help drive a culture of Ethics & Diversity, Engagement and Managerial Effectiveness across the site.Participate actively in local market/custodian/regulatory forums and discussions.Qualifications:14+ years of relevant experienceBachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experienceSound operational skillsInterpersonal, communication and client centricAble to communicate effectively, including the local language.Knowledge/Experience:Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to securities services businessMore than 10 years working experience in a custody and/or fund accounting industry, with direct experience in managing large teams.Familiar with BOT regulations, SEC rules and other related local guidelines is an added advantage.Senior to advanced level experience in a related role with commensurate experience in people management preferred.Demonstrated success coordinating with senior leadership and in managing others.Proven ability to manage various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment.Consistently detail-oriented, goal-oriented to work in a team across different functions.Effective project management and negotiation skillsConsistently demonstrated clear and concise written and verbal communication-------------------------------------------------Job Family Group: Operations - Transaction Services-------------------------------------------------Job Family:Securities and Derivatives Processing------------------------------------------------------Time Type:Full time------------------------------------------------------
