Position Overview The Food & Beverage Intern duty is to see that given tasks are carried out in line with service standards while comprehending the brand and product to complete tasks and provide support to the Food & Beverage team in ensuring that the highest standards of service are offered to our guests. The Food & Beverage Intern will receive daily training on all important responsibilities within the sub-divisions. The individual will collaborate closely with teammates from other departments, as well as leaders, and will have direct contact with our stakeholders. You will have to welcoming and handling any guest at restaurant by anticipate guest needs and give warm farewell as last impression at restaurant. The Role Be attentive and anticipate guests' service needs, including creating connections to understand their preferences to provide personalized service Be knowledgeable of food and beverage items on the menu and could recommend menu combinations and up sell alternatives Assist other colleagues to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen Recognizes the importance of Forbes standards to deliver excellent service performance Maintains strong working relationships with other departments to ensure effective communications for operational issues, serves as a role model for inter-departmental collaboration and support Maintains cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures. Follow policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, and machines Talent Profile: An active student that enrolled in a college or university preferably in Hotel/Hospitality Management, Finance or Economy program Excellent interpersonal skills with personable character, a team player and good at cultivating strong guest relations Very good command in spoken and written English, additional languages will be an advantage Great attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to multitask and prioritize Possess a great communication skill Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all time Flexible regarding work schedules Highly responsible and reliable Frequent lifting carrying up to 30 lbs Occasional ascending or descending ladders and stairs Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as a part of the team with minimum supervision *Kindly be informed that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
