If so, we want you to join our Inspectorate team at the Energy Market Authority (EMA) as a Senior Engineer / Principal Engineer / Senior Principal Engineer.Technical Guidance:Provide expert guidance on technical matters related to electrical work and the legislative framework for electrical safety.Incident Investigation:Conduct thorough investigations into electrical incidents in consumer's low / high voltage electrical installations.Public Safety:Address inquiries related to unsafe electrical installations and take decisive regulatory action against parties responsible for causing electrical hazards to the public. Engage with the public and industry to promote safe use of electricity through public education.Competency Assessment:Assess the competencies of applicants for the granting of electrician and electrical technician licenses, maintaining high standards of professional practice.Performance Monitoring:Monitor the performance of Licensed Electrical Workers (LEW), investigate any misconduct, and recommend appropriate regulatory action when necessary.Regulatory Review:Review and recommend changes to Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice, and Standards to ensure alignment with industry best practices.Collaborative Leadership:Lead multi-agency collaborative efforts on LEW related workstreams, fostering strong partnerships and driving impactfuloutcomes.Administrative Leadership:Take charge of administrative matters and collaborate with other agencies to conduct enforcement checks, ensuring compliance with electrical safety regulations.
