Our work began two decades ago in Madagascar’s remote coastal communities and is growing globally. Across a dozen countries, we’re partnering with traditional fishers and community organizations to design, scale, strengthen and sustain fisheries management and conservation at the community level. We bring partners together in networks to advocate for reform, and share tools and best practices to support fishing communities across the globe. Summary job descriptionThe Human Resources Officer is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organisation’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices, and provides HR-related advice and assistance to the Operations Team and Blue Ventures Indonesia staff. Reporting to the Head of Operations, this is a full-time role based in Denpasar office.The Human Resources Officer handles the learning and professional development of an organisation’s workforce. They equip staff with the knowledge, practical skills, and motivation to carry out work-related tasks. This position helps with the ongoing, long-term improvement of employees’ skills, enabling them to fulfil their potential within their organisation. The successful candidate will be a motivated, proactive, and highly organised individual, with an excellent knowledge of people management & general administrative processes, and an ability to oversee all aspects of the organisation.We are looking for an individual who is open to new ideas and embraces innovation, and who can demonstrate experience in building data skills and literacy within teams through training and mentoring.
