Senior Manager/Manager, Ship Repair (LNGC) (based in Batam)

This position is for PaxOcean Group, a company under Kuok Group Singapore.This role is responsible for the overall coordination of all activities of the repair/new build projects of LNG carriers for Batam yards. Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesMain focal point and in-charge of all activities of LNGC repair and newbuild.Responsible for Budget Control and Project Schedule.Responsible for overall coordination of all activities of the repair/new build projects to achieve timely completion, in line with occupational health and safety, environment, quality, productivity and commercial aspects.Ensure effective delegation and control of resources for optimum productivity.Ensure compliance with contracts, specifications, regulatory, company, quality, environment, occupational health and safety standards and procedures.Liaise and coordinate with regulatory bodies, clients, consultants, contractors, and internally within the company to satisfy their needs within commercial controls.Ensure company and project milestones, and commercial controls are achieved by effective planning, logistics, and execution.Provide comprehensive inputs to Planning department, not limited to equipment, materials, processes, activities, manpower, and ownership of project plan.Control and monitor techno-commercial progress in relation to base line plan.Identify bottlenecks, highlight possible delays in advance, propose and execute corrective and preventive actions.Control and monitoring of variation orders, and coordination with Commercial department.Chair daily VSCC meeting.Degree or Diploma related to Mechanical Engineering Discipline or equivalentMin 10 years of experience in marine industry, preferably in Shipyard environment.Marine or Mechanical Engineer, Naval Architect, or relevant Shipyard experience.Experienced in LNGC repair/newbuild as project manager capacity.Knowledge of shipyard production trade activities.Proficient in Microsoft office.Completed Ship Repair Manager Safety Course Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skillsGood leadership and communication skillsGood analytical and creative thinking skills
