DescriptionABOUT THE ROLE / PURPOSEThe SEA Logistics Lead is accountable for all Logistics, International Trade Operations and Compliance activities across all SEA countries.This role collaborates with local, regional and global stakeholders across Commercial, Supply Chain, Procurement and Regulatory functions, as well as with external suppliers across warehousing, transport and customs.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Order Fulfillment & Logistics LeaderPurpose: Functional leadership for Logistics, International Trade Operations and Compliance across SEA.·Responsible for maintaining an effective distribution network capability. Responsible for all transportation modes including road carriers, marine and air operations. ·Drive high customer service performance standards and accountable for key KPI’s including On-time Shipment, On-time Delivery, Inventory Record Accuracy and Cost-to-Serve.·Charter and sponsor improvement programs related to logistics.·Ensure proper training and on-boarding is assigned and completed for new team members. Identifies gaps in current work process/training/system issues.Ensures continuing/ongoing training requirements are fulfilled for the entire organization with respect to transport and international trade compliance.·Facilitate a strong partnership across supply chain team, customer services and commercial teams.·Active participation in regional and global Corteva functional network teams.·Assure integration and optimization of key work processes, systems and technology.Identifies solutions, initiatives, and tools to optimize logistics-supply chain cost and efficiency. ·Oversight of import duty payments and reduction initiatives (ex. drawback, Misc. tariff bill legislation, preferential origin).·Provide insight on regional market conditions and lead efforts minimize impact of supply chain logistics disruptions.·Partner with the Purchasing function to specify contract requirements for vendor services secured through third parties on behalf of the business. Manage supplier performance to ensure business needs are being met, point of escalation.·Accountable for regional distribution and warehouse expense – cost centre owner.·Accountable for all Distribution Safety & Security activities including adherence to all external regulations and internal standards.·Responsible for management and maintenance of required industry certification to support Corteva operations. Trade Compliance SpecialistPurpose: Ensure International Trade Compliance for SEA. Lead the compliance on export & import regulatory requirements. Lead improvement projects in SEA and contribute to some global improvement projects.·International Trade OperationsoEnsure compliance on all the trade regulations through the documentation of the requirements and the implementation of the corresponding proceduresoDesign and manage the relationships with all the Third Party Logistics Service Providers supporting the International Trade Operations in relationships with Purchasing oEnsure the implementation of all the Trade Compliance Standards.oMonitor the performance of the International Trade Operations. Initiate and follow-up the corrective actions. Identify root causes and define improvement opportunities.oIdentify opportunities to minimize cost-to-serve through process improvements as through the implementation of customs technics. ·Import & Export Compliance oRecognized as a Subject Matter Expert in International Trade Regulations and provide consultation and guidanceoRepresent Corteva in the external industry associations and forumsoEnsure the appropriate knowledge and education in trade regulations within his geography for all the persons involved in the trade operationsoEnsure the compliance of all new supply chains and products by participating in the related projects·Project LeadershipoUse project leadership competences to improve the International Trade Compliance & Operations performanceoContribute Customs expertise by identifying, analysing and measuring improvements to key processes and procedures.oAdd value to Customs work processes by participating in process improvement efforts through team activity and individual initiatives.oContribute to the leveraging of MET across geographies, contributes to standardizing work processes, systems, tools and metrics.Regional Distribution Compliance Leader (RDCL)Purpose: Coordinate all the Transportation EHS&S (Environment, Health, Safety & Security) activities for SEA. Lead improvement projects in SEA and contribute to some global improvement projects.·Geographic Logistics OperationsoEnsure compliance on all the transport regulations (includes global, regional and special provisions) and internal standards, through the documentation of requirements and the implementation of the corresponding proceduresoResponsible to complete all the planned audits, assessments and reviews of our Logistics Service Providers according to our internal standardsoIdentify improvement opportunities and ensure follow-up and completion of improvement plansoMonitor the performance of the Transport Safety & Security, record all Unplanned Events, and contribute to the Root Cause Investigations of the transport incidents and follow-up the corrective actions. oEnsure the appropriate knowledge and education in transport regulations within his geography for all the persons involved in the transport & handling as in packaging & labelling of our materials and products oSupport other Supply Chain roles and Purchasing in assessing new Logistics Service Providers ·Regulatory Compliance & AdvocacyoMaintain personal certification in the required transport regulationsoRepresent Corteva Agriscience in the external industry associations and forumsoRecognized as a Subject Matter Expert in Transport RegulationsoSupport internal and external compliance objectives across all modes of transport. oParticipate to all projects related to the implementation of regulatory changes·Project LeadershipoCoordinate the implementation of transport regulations changes as other changes impacting the transport classification of our products with other Supply Chain and EHS&S roles oContribute to the leveraging of MET across geographies, contributes to standardizing work processes, systems, tools and metrics. oIdentify opportunities to minimize cost-to-serve through process improvements. oLead and contribute to global initiatives within the Supply Chain EHS&S network Qualifications Degree (BS/BA/BCom) in Supply Chain, Business, Technical field etc. Minimum 8 – 10 years equivalent Logistics, Supply Chain, Customer Service experienceStrong knowledge in SAP Systems and reportingStrong leadership, communication and project management skills Dangerous Goods certification.
