Job Description Provide support & advice in all areas of people management & development, employee relations & be responsible for HR operation activities. The role will be responsible for supporting & coordinating a wide variety of HR activities including resourcing, onboarding, employee relations, disciplinary action, payroll and compliance of the site, performance management, policy procedure interpretation, and employee recognition. Duties & Responsibilities Responsibilities - Work with functional manager/s: manage the delivery and administration of HR processes such as Employee relations, Compensation, Wage & Benefit and performance managementEnsure assistance is available to counsel employees and managers to resolve grievance issues such as policy and procedure interpretation, performance expectations, absenteeism, discipline, and workplace harassment and discrimination.Provide consultation, resources and training assistance to department and division management to assess and address ongoing training and development needs. Provide support and oversight to talent partner to ensure equitable access to training opportunitiesDelivers site/functional communications in accordance with group/divisional/functional communication strategies. Collects and analyses feedback from communications and works with constituents to develop recommended actions.Partner with HR Operation to provide HR System support, process standardization and centralization, implementation of global or regional project initiatives.Work with the HR operations team to maintain employee records in a human resources information system (HRIS) so that information is timely, accurate, and secure.Manage recruitment process and ensure compliance with prevailing regulations. Conduct new employee orientations.Assure company compliance with all applicable regulations and respond to questions regarding regulations, consulting legal counsel when necessaryAssure company compliance with all applicable regulations and respond to questions regarding regulations, consulting legal counsel when necessary. Conduct new employee orientations.On time submission of Payroll inputs to payroll vendor & ensure on-time disbursement of salariesPromote positive employee relations practices in the work environment.Ensures timely publication/distribution of MIS Reports/InformationOn time submission of Payroll inputs to payroll vendor & ensure on-time disbursement of salariesRespond to daily policy and practices questions from management, line supervisors, and employees.HR compliance to Smiths quality standards and adherence to division/group policies/procedures/ code of ethics.Liaise with the People Operations team to ensure that employee or organizational transactional activities are completed efficiently and accurately within the HR master data systemCoordinate the implementation of various employee programs & employee welfare activities.Assists HR Manager to carry out other HR related activities as and when necessary The Individual Skills & Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources preferred, or recognized qualification /certification in Human Resources. or related field with 5-7 years of experience of HR Generalist or HR Representative experience is preferred, but not essential.Able to effectively communicate with employees and managers on HR policies and practices while being approachable and trustworthy in nature.Excellent influencing, communication and people management skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff.Highly motivated with initiative and drive; results-oriented and customer-focused.Fluency in English communication & local language proficiency is important.Ability to professionally manage employee and company data with the highest degree of discretion and/or confidentiality as appropriate.Able to learn or knowledgeable in the use HR systems.Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.Adherence to the EHS requirements: Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the company’s goals.
